Mind Over Mood: A CBT Capacity-Building Workshop

Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, CEO of the School of Self-Education and Positive Personality Growth and Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Wah, oversaw the successful conduct of a capacity-building workshop titled “Mind Over Mood: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Workshop” organized by the Department of Psychology, University of Wah, on 02 February 2026.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Haleema Adnan, Lecturer, who served as the resource person and keynote speaker. The workshop was designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of cognitive behavioral techniques and their practical application in managing emotions, thoughts, and behavior patterns.

Through interactive discussion and hands-on learning activities, the workshop provided valuable academic, clinical, and professional insight for students and emerging mental health practitioners. The session created an engaging platform for participants to explore how CBT-based approaches can be applied in both personal development and professional mental health practice.

The event was coordinated under the supervision of Dr. Noman Aftab, who served as the focal person. The Department also acknowledged Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Chairperson, Department of Psychology, for his guidance and continued support in promoting quality academic and professional training opportunities.

The workshop concluded with positive participant engagement and reflected a shared commitment to continued capacity-building initiatives in the field of psychology and mental health.
